Durban vs Hamburg

Ten Durban youngsters, who have been learning chess with the help of the Victor Daitz Foundation (and DMCA), recently played an online exhibition match during the last day of the Hamburg schools chess tournament, where 2 600 children participated. The internet match between the "Durban Sharks" and "Durban Mambas" vs Hamburg, elicited much public interest in Germany. According to the match organizers in Hamburg, the match was broadcast on every TV station in Germany! reports Desmond Rooplal, a chess lover who dedicates a lot of time to promoting the game amongst Durban youths.
